Restructuring Realities

“The proposal I submitted to the Ely Center was simply for an international video forum. But as I begin to consider writing an introduction I realise that the artists I'm inviting have all restructured my reality in different ways. Art can have a profound effect on our behavior. These artists have supplanted normative channels of one directional information with interaction, improvisation, and play. Many use media in a performative way, in immediate dialog with their audience and their machines. The channels of communication they use are different and new, or made of reconstituted media archeology. They are able to circumvent our habitual modes of consumption thereby changing our minds. And when our minds change so does our behavior... So maybe thats the title of show, Restructuring Realities....”
