Synthesizer Performance at Ely Center

On Sunday, February 21, the closing of the Ely Center Solo Shows 2020 will be accompanied by an improvised performance on modular synthesizer by one of the artists, Tony Saunders.

The modular synthesizer can generate a wide range of sounds, from melodic to abrasive, structured to chaotic. It excels at generating and re-ordering new pieces from fragments of what has come before—like collage, which Saunders also practices as a visual artist. The process of playing and composing will take place in real time at the Ely Center.
