Broad Stripes and Bright Stars Event
Visual artist, textile designer, and weaving instructor Ruben Marroquin invites attendees of all ages and abilities to the experience the unique joys of textile art and introductory weaving technique. Each participant will create their own unique woven flag using bamboo, yarn, and textiles, inspired by the artist’s own intricate woven flags that grace the Broad Stripes and Bright Stars exhibit. Each two-hour workshop is free and open to the public, with looms and materials provided.
