A message from our director The Ely Center of Contemporary Art is at a critical turning point. We are currently operating out of CitySeed’s building in Fair Haven, but this is temporary. Without a permanent home, the future of our programming, and the space we provide for artists to take risks, experiment and to grow is uncertain.
We are so close.We’ve already raised over $500,000 toward the purchase of a building. During the Great Give, we are working to raise $15,000 to unlock a $5,000 matching pledge, bringing us to our $20,000 goal during this fundraising event and closer to securing a permanent home.
This is the foundation everything else depends on.
A permanent space means our exhibitions, workshops, residencies and community programs can continue. Not just now, but for years to come.
