We are accepting applications for our first ever Summer Apprenticeship Program, guided by visiting artist Destiny Palmer. Palmer, currently at Thayer Academy and formerly an Assistant Professor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, is a painter whose work explores the intersections of painting, history, and color, blurring the lines of painting, sculpture, and installation.

We invite NHPS and Public Charter High School students to apply to our program. Apprentices will spend 3 paid weeks at ECOCA creating a large scale public mural.

Join us for a community sketching series celebrating the Quinnipiac River. Coming this summer!

In partnership with our friends at New Haven Sketchers and Save the Sound, Long Water Land will be a series of sketching sessions held at sites along the Quinnipiac River from June-July 2024. Collaborating groups will provide introductions to each site from historical, cultural, and/or ecological perspectives. The project will focus on building community, and observing, interacting with, and reflecting on our shared landscape through art-making. The series will be commemorated with an anthology of sketches and an accompanying exhibition.
