Final day of the Great Give Fundraising Campaign!

FINAL DAY OF THE GREAT GIVE

Dear Ely Center Family,

Today is the final day for our Great Give Fundraising Campaign. The generosity shown us is already incredible- yesterday we met our first goal for a matching gift of $2,500- Thank you! Your donations go to fund programs like our Summer Apprenticeship Program and other high school professional development programs hosted here for teens; teaching them skills that make them ready for the ‘real world’ while still able to do what they love!

This year we have world renown Peruvian-American textile artist (who also teaches here in New Haven) Sarah Zapata as mentor for SAP! For this program, the New Haven Public School students get paid to participate, and not the other way around! Our expenses are for healthy snacks, material supplies, field trips and the artist fee for Sarah and their assistant.

The Ely Center is your community; Ely Center is inspiring exhibitions and artist talks, workshops for all ages, artist development like our Keyhole Residencies and Summer Apprenticeships, unique events like tonight’s Weird Music Night!
