Sunday, March 24, 12:30-3 pm Artist Talk with Stanwyck Cromwell & Marlon Forrester moderated by Andre Rochester

Join us for an intergenerational talk with two Guyanese/American artists, Stanwyck Cromwell and Marlon Forrester. Marlon Forrester's (Yale MFA '10) solo show Skyward Bound draws on basketball as iconography and metaphor. This particular installation constructs an intergenerational dialogue with fellow Guyana-born artist, Stanwyck Cromwell. Their respective shows meet, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Cromwell combines his memories of Guyana with his American cultural influences. This talk will be moderated by artist, Andre Rochester, who is an active member of the Connecticut arts scene and utilizes his own art as a tool for healing and a catalyst for connection-letting people know they are not alone. Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you!

SPECIAL VISITS

This past Monday, ECOCA hosted a hands on workshop for the High School Art Teachers of the New Haven Public Schools! Teachers were able to experiment with photo transfers using bristol paper and hand sanitizer. There were new project ideas flowing through their heads for their curriculum! So happy to have been able to provide this service!

We are beyond thrilled to get to partner with the Yale Art Gallery as they start their Workforce Initiative in training local art handlers!
