ECOCA is pleased to present SPRING HEAT, a group of exhibitions that kick off a year of ECOCA's Environmental Leadership for Artists programming. Climate change is more than just weather patterns–it connects and affects every aspect of life. The work on exhibit during SPRING HEAT examines these many avenues, from social and racial justice/injustice to the use of natural and recycled materials to interrogating our relationship with the ecosystem where we will be focusing on supporting artists with workshops and discussions on how to work in environmentally friendly ways.

April 14th - Opening Reception for SPRING HEAT 1-3 pm with a performance by Water Women at 2 pm and a performance by Giana Gonzalez of Think About Water at 2:30

April 14th - Open Studios @ our Keyhole Workspace Residency 12-5 - In collaboration with Yale School of Art and NXTHVN

April 21 - Earth Day Celebration 1-3 with Special Guest New Haven's Poet Laureate Sharmont "Influence" Little and an eco art workshop using recycled materials to make your own paper. Free and open to all!

May 1-2 - We are pleased to announce that ECOCA is doing the Great Give this year! If you are enjoying our programming, consider donating so that we can keep these events free for all.

May 11 - Wake Up The Green @ New Haven's Green ECOCA is partnering with ecoWORKS and will be hosting a station to make your own journal out of recycled materials. Free and open to all!

June 2 - Closing Reception for SPRING HEAT 3-5 pm w/ a morning walking tour of New Haven's Bioswales TIME TBD
